At Tablelands Farm to Fork, we provide ethically produced grass-fed beef processed in our on-farm butcher shop, along with a variety of other produce available online. We offer free delivery to the Tablelands and Cairns, including Palm Cove, through to Gordonvale.
If you’re outside this area, we can arrange delivery to Townsville, Thursday Island, Weipa and more through local transport companies.

Tallow was first used for skincare as far back as ancient civilisations like the Egyptians, Romans, and Babylonians, who blended animal fats with herbs and oils to create balms for protection and healing. Archaeological evidence from the Bronze Age shows a 2,700-year-old face cream made from beef tallow.
Indigenous cultures across North America and Australia traditionally relied on tallow-based ointments for various purposes, including wound healing, sun protection, and hydration. They valued its natural barrier properties against extreme weather conditions.
Ethnographic evidence highlights the long-standing use of animal fats in therapeutic skincare and wound treatment. Historically, Samburu pastoralists in Kenya used animal-derived fats to treat dermal infections. In Roman antiquity, tallow and ash were integral to early soap-making in the vicinity of Mount Sapo.
