Our Farms
We are excited to be a part of the beautiful Atherton Tablelands tapestry. The Atherton Tablelands are renowned for their stunning landscapes, which include waterfalls, crater lakes, rainforests, and savannahs. Our region boasts a rich food, dairy, and beef industry and is home to diverse wildlife, from Lumholtz’s tree-kangaroos to platypus, as well as unique geological features such as extinct volcanic craters. It truly is a paradise within a paradise.

Ray and Barb both hail from the wild’s north of Queensland—Barb’s a Mareeba local and Ray’s a Cooktown boy who has spent a good chunk of his life running Human Resource teams and international aid programs (which is basically like herding cats, but more bureaucratic), while Barb used to work in the mining industry, which means she could probably dig her way out of a Bunnings carpark if she had to. She caught the cattle and sustainable farming bug a bit later than your average jackaroo, but it’s clearly in her blood—her childhood was full of stud cattle and the sort of “adventures” that usually end with someone needing a Dettol wash. Ray’s got the green thumb and the patience to watch grass grow—literally—so together, we’re basically the Aussie version of The Good Life (but with more mozzies and the occasional runaway steer).
These days, we’re down in Glen Allyn, tucked away in what we like to call Paradise. Honestly, we reckon it’s one of the best communities on the planet—we’ve lived in a few, and this one’s got the right balance of good people, bad puns, and the odd tree kangaroo wandering through the yard.
Trevor and Ainslie, who also happen to be family, roped us into this whole Tablelands Farm to Fork and Farm to Paws caper—probably because they know we’re suckers for a good feed and a chance to swap yarns about compost. All four of us are dead keen on looking after the land and making sure farming is done the right way (read: with plenty of gumboots and not too many spreadsheets).
We spend a lot of time trying to keep the place running smoothly, caring for the land and pushing sustainable ag—plus, we’re always happy for a chinwag with the neighbours about where their meat comes from, how the farm ticks along, or why the chooks insist on hiding their eggs. Let’s say, if you want to know what’s really going on in Glen Allyn, come find us—just follow the trail of muddy boots and suspiciously well-fed dogs.

Trevor and Ainslie are the founders of Tablelands Farm to Fork and Farm to Paws. They own a farm in Malanda and also run several adjustment blocks on the Atherton Tablelands.
Throughout their journey, they have taken on diverse roles, including ostrich farms in South Africa, piloting planes and helicopters in the US and Europe, and managing superyachts in the Caribbean. After settling in Australia, they felt a deep calling to raise their family on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. They genuinely care about providing a sustainable food program for Far North Queensland, emphasising the importance of giving back to the land that nurtures us.
“We love what we do. It’s not just a business; it’s a community we’ve built together. Our customers’ loyalty and friendships inspire us, and we all share a common goal of promoting regenerative farming. We understand that the environment needs our protection, or it may not last for future generations. We feel truly blessed for this opportunity.”
