What is the BARF Diet?
The BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet for dogs replicates the ancestral diet by focusing on raw, unprocessed ingredients like muscle meat, bones, organs, fruits, and vegetables, while excluding grains and fillers. This diet promotes better digestion, healthier coats, and overall vitality.

Our Nature Intended Raw Dog Food is carefully balanced to ensure complete nutrition with around 70% meat, 5% bone, 10% organs, and 15% plant matter.
Where does your beef come from?
We source our grass-fed beef from our two farms in Malanda and sustainable partner farms on the Tablelands in Far North Queensland. The beef used in our Nature Intended Dog Food meals is brought back from our processor, trimmed, minced in our butcher shop, and then packed fresh and frozen within the same week that the animal is processed. We do not use floor scraps, old meat that hasn’t sold, or meat past its use-by date. If it is not good for us, it is not good for our pet meals!
Do I need to freeze or refrigerate the food?
Of course! Since our food is made fresh and contains no preservatives, we want you to treat it like real food (because it truly is!). Just be sure to keep it at a safe temperature in your refrigerator or freezer. It’s super easy! Enjoy your delicious meals!
Do I need to cook the food?
There’s no need to worry about preparation—our Nature Intended Dog Food is ready to serve your furry friend! Scoop out the portion you need and serve it straight from the fridge. If your pup prefers warm meals, you can add a little hot water to warm it up. Just be sure to check the temperature before serving to ensure it’s safe for your dog. Do I need to consult my vet to use Farm to Paws dog food?
They’ll feel good knowing that we partner with veterinary nutritionists. Although some vets might debate different food trends, almost everyone agrees that freshly made, nutritionally balanced meals are fantastic for dogs. Our recipes are crafted to fully replace a typical diet, and we’re excited to share that many pups with health issues are really thriving on our meals!

How do I get your dog food?
At Tablelands Farm to Fork or Farm to Bowl in this case, we’re deliver to you on the first Saturday of each month and you can also find us at the Mareeba or Yungaburra Markets! If you prefer, feel free to arrange a time to come by our farm and pick up our 10kg boxes.

Our 10kg box if packed with sourced from the same animals as our steaks and roasts. We do not use culled cows or wild bulls, which results in soft, flavourful beef with a smooth texture, free from any grittiness or excess fat. The fat ratio is approximately 20%.

Our 15kg box is packed with all our favourite cuts of beef. We carefully select a selection of our 21-day aged steaks, roasts, slow-cooker cuts, plus our signature mince and sausages. Our boxes consist of steaks, including ribeye, porterhouse, rump and BBQ steak. We include all the favourite slow-cooker cuts like ossobuco, shin off the bone, y-bone and short rib finished off with our signature mince, diced beef and sausages.
Our choice of cuts may sometime vary due to availability and we may substitute a particular cut for another. We will always try to select a cut of the same quality. e.g. Y-bone for Ossobuco, Short Rib for Ribeye.
